P&G Opens Jakarta Plant

LEED-certified diaper facility in growing region is also hub for raw materials.

P&G Indonesia has inaugurated a new plant in Jakarta, a move that represents a multi-year investment to build “world-class facilities” that manufacture multiple categories of products, according to the company.   While the plant will primarily produce Pampers diapers for the local market, it will serve as the source of exports needed to balance supply and demand in the region, and be a regional hub for raw materials supplies, P&G noted.
